Educated at Fordham University Law School, Zagat never practiced law but turned to writing fiction soon after graduation. By the 1930's, Zagat was one of the most popular authors of pulp science fiction. He contributed hundreds of stories to science fiction magazines such as Weird Tales and Terror Tales. He collaborated with Nat Schachner on a number of works, including the successful 20,000 AD series. His best-known works include In 20,000 AD (1930), Back to 20,000 AD (1931), The Lanson Screen (1936), Drink We Deep (1937), Tomorrow (1939), Children of Tomorrow (1939), Table for Two (1942), The Two Moons of Tranquila (1943) and Seven Out of Time (1949). |
