Latzko took part in the First World War as an officer in the Austro-Hungarian army. Becoming disillusioned with the war, he deserted in 1916 and sought refuge in Switzerland. In 1917, he published Men in War, a series of short stories which was an instant commercial success. His other works include Wild Man (1913), Judgment of Peace (1918), Seven Days (1931), Underway (1932) and Lafayette (1932). |
