Pat Bavardo was born and raised in Freeport, Illinois, but has called southern California her home since 1961, currently residing in Sun City, a small town where neighbors look out for one another and stop to say ‘Good morning’.
She was president and co-chair for the Tail Spinners writer’s workshop in Canyon Lake for many years. She is currently working on a novel entitled Love’s Brush With Death that is about a sexy, young, drop-dead gorgeous seductress who kills her Italian lover’s crippled, alcoholic wife in a way that hasn’t been done before. Her main protagonist, named April, seems to get away with her dastardly deed and Pat would like this to be a trilogy of sexy mysteries before April finally gets caught.
Pat has written several novels, short stories, and also enjoys writing lyrics and music for her keyboard. She composed a haunting theme song for her current book, Naked Goes My Heart, with the hopes that someday it might be adapted for the screen. Among her other accomplishments is an award winning poem titled Heart’s Love. The first line states; ‘How deeply he probed to find the love once used, now hidden so well.’
One of her children’s stories Wobbles and Lulu is about a magical toy that comes to life and helps Lulu through some difficult times in her young life after her parents announce they are getting divorced and her best friend moves away, leaving Lulu feeling abandoned and frightened.
