J.L. Hernandez was born in Cuba in 1958, and grew up in the Bronx, New York. He spent eleven years on active duty in the US Coast Guard, seven years in the US Army National Guard, and ten years as a correctional officer. After so much excitement he has decided to “settle down” and is currently a fulltime student at Brooklyn College where he is majoring in history. Hernandez hopes one day to teach at the university level and thereby impart to his students his own particular brand of politics, which he calls “Anarcho-Libertarianism”, in the hopes that the many brands of lunacy currently infecting the world will slowly fade away until it is nothing but a bad memory in the collective mind of humanity.
